Coming Together, Sharing Together, Working Together, Succeeding Together.

It's the end of the year and wow what a ride this has been!!!

Today we finally had our Web-X Conference with the Globaloria Office in New York and it was so much simpler than I thought it would be. I will admit I was EXTREMELY nervous going into it, but after I began I realized "Hey No need to be flipping out." So I smiled and began to tell them my funny story of the year. Going through two teams and creating a game within the last four weeks(one month) was a stressful thing, but I pulled through it and lived.

I will miss the program, but I might sneak back to the school during the next school year, if Mrs. Neal lets me, and learn more about the flash program. I wish I would've had another year with Globaloria, but sadly it is my senior year and I am leaving GWHS *insert sad face here!!!!*

Ha ha, anyways I truly hope that next years class cherishes the experiences they are about to learn, just as I will. I have learned to be more demanding about what I want and I have gained a lot of patients and skill that I didn't have at the beginning of the year. I mean who would have thought I could make a game with just a mouse pad and a couple of codes. I, for sure, didn't!!!

But I am glad how my game turned out, even though there is a button that is not working, (note to self: must fix that Friday) other than that I am glad how the entire year turned out. Sure, there were times when everyone wanted to quit and not look at flash ever again, but I think we had a little bit of a parental outlook on our games. They are our babies. They were not there in the beginning, then *BAM* there they are. Little simple games that want to be made into wonderful complicated games!!! He he.

So I guess since I started this blog as a Captain's Log I might as well end it like a Captain's Log.
Captain's Last Log

Star Date:05142009

We have reached the end of our journey, some of us will stay behind and maybe continue working with the Globaloria team, while others move on and not look back. I, for one, would like to stay with our commander, Mrs. Neal, and maybe help with next years team as well. But if that's not possible, I will stay in touch and visit anyways. This has been on long crazy journey and I will always enjoy the memories I have gained from it all and the "Life Lessons" (I hope that gave you chill bumps ha ha).

  1. To those of you, I have meet from Globaloria, I wish you all the best and hope that you will continue on with this project. ^_^
  2. To Ms. Harden, thank you for helping with our big presentation and when our computer would go stupid on us. ^_^
  3. To Mr. Auvil, thank you for allowing us to have this program in our school! ^_^
  4. To my peers and friends, who fought through the world of flash with me, I thank you for all the support and awesomeness you all are!
  5. And Finally to the woman who taught us we can do whatever we put our minds to, Mrs. Neal. You pushed us to our limits and when we were in a chaos mess, you held us together by giving us words of encouragement and telling us goofy jokes to lighten the mood when everyone would be going crazy with action script. I, personal, am glad you had the opportunity to teach this to us. I don't think they could have chosen a better teacher for the job. You were tough when you needed to be and you were gently when it was called for. I don't think any of us would have even made it through the first semester if it wasn't for your drive and desire to have do our best. I will miss you....unless I come back to visit!!! Thank you once again.

Well, this Captain's Log is now at an end.

That Is All
